Jews and Christians: A Journey of FaithIFC hosted the screening of the award-winning documentary, “Jews and Christians: A Journey of Faith” at the Avalon Theatre. The film exposes the historical conflicts between Judaism and Christianity, making an impassioned argument for tolerance through increased understanding and the destruction of outdated stereotypes. It examines how contemporary Jews & Christians perceive each other, confront prejudice & stereotypes & how they can understand & respect other.
Following the documentary, there was an interactive discussion with Washington religious leaders including: Rabbi Bruce Lustig of the Washington Hebrew Congregation; Elizabeth Orens, Episcopal Priest and Chaplain with the National Cathedral; DC Rao, who offered the perspective of a practitioner of an Eastern religion, and Rev. Clark Lobenstine, Executive Director of the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington (IFC).
